New Delhi, 19 July, 2017: Amara Raja Batteries Limited, India’s leading industrial and automotive battery manufacturer has bagged the prestigious ‘First Award’ under the Category Private- Manufacturing (Large) at the 14th National awards for Excellence in Cost Management 2016. The award is conferred by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
The award ceremony took place on 18th July, 2017 in New Delhi. Mr. Jayadev Galla, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Amara Raja Batteries Limited, along with the Finance team received the award from Sri Arjun Ram Mughal, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs in presence of senior officials of ICAI and other dignitaries.
Recognizing the company’s accomplishment in Cost Management and other relevant best practices in the corporate sector, Amara Raja Batteries Ltd was honoured with the National Award for the third time, having earlier been awarded with ‘Good Performance’ in 2016 and ‘Second award’ in 2014.
The National Award for Excellence in Cost Management was instituted in 2003 to recognize qualitative cost management practices adopted by the industry and ensure due national and global recognition for the success of such cost management initiatives.
