Partners with Mumbai Juniorthon as ‘Safety Travel Partner’
Mumbai, December 7, 2017: Hamare Bus Ki Baat Hai (HBKBH), a unique initiative by Tata Motors that aims to ensure the safety of children on school buses, has partnered with Season 3 of Mumbai Juniorthon, an annual running event for children and junior athletes, scheduled to be held on December 10, 2017 at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.
Tata Motors has been making safe, reliable comfortable and cost-effective school buses for the past 30-years now and launched, Hamare Bus Ki Baat Hai in 2013, an interactive training program, designed with inputs from various stakeholders, with the objective of sensitizing school-bus staff including drivers, conductors, and attendants across the country on the need for safety and comfort of children when they travel in the buses. The program increases awareness amongst the participants about their duties and responsibilities; suggests improvements in matters of personal hygiene, general etiquette and behavior; and educates them in necessary measures to be taken in case of accidents. It also equips them with a general understanding of the psychology and behavior of school children.
Commenting on this occasion, Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Business Head, Commercial Vehicles – Passenger, Tata Motors Ltd., said, “The ‘Hamare Bus Ki Baat Hai’ initiative has come a long way, since it was first introduced in 2013. Designed with inputs from various stake holders, through the campaign, we at Tata Motors have trained over 1,35,000 school bus staff from 3500 plus schools across the country. Promoting safety of children, we are seeking support of parents, schools and transport authorities by urging them to join the ‘Hamare Bus Ki Baat Hai’ campaign. Our association with Mumbai Juniorthon will help in spreading awareness among a larger audience. We wish this event a big success and hope to provide all participants with a safe experience on-ground.’’
