Pune, August 11, 2020: ŠKODA AUTO Volkswagen India Private Limited (ŠAVWIPL), introduces Mechatronics 2020 programme, a highly engaging and educative platform that enables high school graduates and workers displaced from low-skilled jobs to learn new-age skills and become future-ready in the auto sector. The company has partnered with Indo German Chamber of Commerce for awarding the DIHK certificate on completion of the course and examinations, also with National Council for Vocational Training to conduct the All India Trade Test as well; and is currently inviting applications from students and professionals who are seeking a viable pathway to lucrative employment in the auto sector.
A three-and-a-half-year programme aims at enhancing the skills of apprentices in area of mechatronics engineering which includes mechanical, electrical, electronics and information technology. The apprentices will be empowered with on-the-job work experience at ŠAVWIPL to gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience in areas including production, maintenance, planning, quality assurance and research & development. Additionally, there will be a classroom study in specialised trade schools including Project assignment. These candidates will spend 70 percent of their time in the workplace under supervision of a ŠAVWIPL certified trainers, and 30 percent in the classroom.

We are confident that the programme will equip apprentices with desired skill sets that are required to deliver in the fast changing industrial requirements”.
The Mechatronics 2020 Programme is part ŠAVW’s global initiative based on the unique training methodology with use of advanced technology. It has been developed on Germany’s dual-track vocational training program that offers supervised training to upskill and reskill talent. It also provides a global exposure to apprentices to work in other economies including Germany, China and Brazil.
The last date to enrol for the programme is 17th August, 2020 and the online aptitude/skill test will be conducted on 23rd August, 2020.
Eligibility Criteria for Mechanic Mechatronics:
SSC (X Std.) passed in 2019 or 2020 with a minimum of 70% marks each in Mathematics and Science for General Candidates.
Min 60% marks each in Mathematics and Science for SC/ST candidates.
Age Limit for Mechanic Mechatronics :
Candidates below 17 years as on 01 June 2020 (born on or after 01 June 2003)
Relaxable up to 19 years for SC/ST candidates (born on or after 01 June 2000)
