Honda 2 Wheeler Sales Report December 2015
Overall sales – Honda 2Wheelers sold a total of 306,779 units. Of this scooter sales stood at 198,332 units while motorcycle sales were 92,380 units.
Exports stood at 16,067 units in December, 2015.
Market share – Honda 2Wheelers domestic market share is 25%, while Dom+Exp market share is 22%
April to December, 2015 –
Overall sales – Cumulatively in the current fiscal year 2015-16, Honda 2Wheelers sold a total of 3,354,831 units. \Of this scooter sales stood at
2,079,833 units while motorcycle sales were 1,125,678 units.
Exports stood at 149,320 units in the current fiscal.
Market share – Honda 2Wheelers domestic market share is 26%, while Dom+Exp market share is 24%
Other highlights:
New model – Honda heralded a new era of Street Naked Sports Biking in India with CB Hornet 160R – one of the first mainstream bikes in India to meet BS-IV emission norms. Available for sale in 2 variants, the CB Hornet 160R is priced aggressively starting from Rs 79,900 (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi).
Digital initiatives – Youth give a big thumbs up to the exclusive booking android app of CB Hornet 160R. Honda advances CB Hornet 160R’s availability from planned 21 cities to 53 cities as downloads cross 40,000 mark ending December, 2015.
Awards – Honda is recognized with 3 prestigious awards in December’15.
These include – Manufacturer of the Year 2Wheeler (NDTV Car & Bike Awards 2016), Motorcycle of the Year up to 160cc (NDTV Car & Bike Awards 2016), Motorcycle of the Year up to 110cc (NDTV Car & Bike Awards 2016).
Honda 2Wheelers had an annual plant maintenance break scheduled from 26th December, 2015 to 3rd January, 2016 with additional 3 days off at start of the month.
