Most powerful diesel sedan in segment adds striking styling and new features
New Delhi: GM India today launched the New Chevrolet Cruze 2016 priced between INR 14.68 lakh and INR 17.81 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The Cruze is now equipped with the refreshed styling on the exterior and added interior features including the MyLink Infotainment System and Rear Vision Camera. New LED Daytime Running Lights along with Revised Front Fascia and Rear Lip Spoiler complement the premium interiors. Chrome Horizontal slats along with New Projector Foglamps complete the stunning new look of the Chevrolet Cruze 2016.
In addition, the new 7 inch MY-LINK Touchscreen Infotainment System comes with embedded applications including internet radio functionality (Sticher SmartRadio), Grace Note & SIRI EYES FREE Compatibility, Bluetooth Audio Streaming & Phone telephony with Voice Recognition control and Touch controls for Automatic HVAC & Vehicle Personalisation settings. New Multi-Function Steering wheel with buttons for Infotainment & Bluetooth® Handsfree are added for greater convenience.

The Chevrolet Cruze 2016 comes with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission mated to the turbocharged 2.0-litre VCDi engine. The Chevrolet Cruze delivers 166 PS of undulated power on tap with 380 Nm of torque making the driving experience simply exhilarating.
Equipped with dual front airbags and two side airbags, the new Cruze enhances safety in case of a high-impact collision. The strong and rigid “safety cage” has reinforced pillars with tubular bars, which provide optimum protection to passengers. The front and rear crumple zone maximizes safety by absorbing the impact energy in a collision.
The anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic sensors provides excellent braking efficiency and shorter stopping distances, which ensures better steering control, especially on slippery surfaces. Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS) automatically controls the central locking system, anti-theft alarm and ignition.
The pedestrian protection design of the hood and related hinge structures reduce the chance of pedestrian injury. With a child seat provision specifically designed in the rear seating area, the new Cruze offers protection for children at all times. They can be secured in any of the three rear seats. The advanced security system includes, auto door unlock in case of crash, immobilizer, anti-theft alarm & programmable auto door locking.
The new Chevrolet Cruze comes with thoughtfully researched comfort features including an electric sunroof, power folding and heated outside mirrors, power adjustable outside mirrors, all 4 power windows with express down, driver side window express up with pinch guard, 6 way power adjustable driver seat, turn indicators on outside rearview mirrors (OSRVM), configurable follow me home headlamps, rain sensitive wiper system, rear glass defogger, clutch foot rest and delayed operation for OSRVM after ignition off & keyless entry and start.
The Gen2 6-Speed Automatic Transmission delivers fuel economy of 14.81 kmpl while the manual variant returns a fuel efficiency of 17.9 kmpl as per ICAT.
Seamless gear changes mean superior acceleration off the block and instant torque delivery for effortless overtaking. The Electronic Automatic Transmission Control System offers a clutch-to-clutch shift operation for precision gear shifting. A widespread gear ratio ensures quicker getaways and the sixth gear ensures increased fuel economy at cruising speeds.
A gas-charged McPherson strut type front suspension, U-shaped rear suspension with torsion beams and gas-charged shock absorber ensure a smooth and comfortable ride. A hydraulic power rack-and-pinion power steering is tuned for more responsiveness with quick-reacting ratio. A four-wheel disc brake set-up provides excellent stopping and stable braking capability.
Completing the exterior, the dual bezel design headlamps, split design tail lamps, chrome garnish on window sill, tinted windshield glass and door glass, chrome exhaust pipe finisher, chrome door handles & chrome trunk-lid garnish highlight the stunning design of the Cruze.
Interior highlights include premium black and titanium wraparound theme, monotone jet black seats with titanium stich highlights, corvette inspired dual cockpit interior design, front center armrest with storage and sliding lid, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob and rear seat armrest with cup holders.
