Ranjangaon plant has paced up production to reduce waiting period
- Bookings for the Jeep® Compass have doubled since launch (July 31st)
- Five-fold increase in enquiries since opening of order books in June
- Production ramped up with two shifts working six days a week.
MUMBAI | Friday, September 1, 2017: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India today announced that its Made in IndiaJeep® Compass has touched the 10,000 bookings milestone. The auto manufacturer opened pre-bookings for the SUV on June 19th and launched it on July 31st this year. FCA India, which is currently focusing entirely on its go-to market execution confirms over 92,000 enquiries as of today.

The Jeep® Compass range in India starts with 1.4 Multi-Air Turbo Petrol ‘Sport’ 4×2 variant with a 6-speed manual transmission at Rs. 14.95 Lakh (ex-Delhi) and tops with the 2.0L MultiJet Turbo Diesel ‘Limited (O)’ 4×4 variant with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Jeep® Compass is available to customers in three trims – Sport, Longitude and Limited and 10 variants, including a 4×2 Turbo Petrol with a 7-speed automatic transmission (DDCT).
Packed with 50+ safety and security features, 30+ premium features and 20+ pioneering technologies, Jeep® Compass is one of the safest SUVs on Indian roads. Customers can choose from two powertrain options – the 173 PS, 350 Nm, 2.0-litre MultiJet Turbo Diesel and the 162 PS, 250 Nm, 1.4-Multi-Air Turbo Petrol. The Diesel variant is being offered with the 6-speed manual transmission while the Petrol comes with both options, the 6-speed manual as well as the 7-speed DDCT (Dry Dual Clutch Technology) or Automatic Transmission. The Sport and Longitude trims are available in two-wheel drive (4×2) only while the top of the line trim, Limited comes with choice of 4×2 as well as fourwheel drive (4×4) options. The Limited is equipped with Jeep®’s legendary Jeep® Active Drive with Selec Terrain Traction Management System that lets the driver chose from four terrain modes – Auto, Mud, Sand and Snow.
FCA India started deliveries of the Jeep® Compass on August 6, 2017.
The Jeep® Compass is currently being retailed out of 50 Jeep-flagship and FCA outlets, across 47 cities. FCA is expanding its sales network to 60 outlets by the end of this calendar year.
The company has introduced its Global service and customer care brand Mopar in India. All FCA authorized workshops across India are now Mopar-branded and technicians are specially trained as per global standards and diagnostic techniques to attend to all servicerelated issues should they arise. Mopar, an 80-year old North American after-sales and customer service brand is now managing services related to vehicle insurance, extended warranty, annual maintenance packages, Jeep® Express Lane service, battery program and tyre replacement program, right across India, under the Mopar Vehicle Protection plan.

The Jeep® Compass will be available with a three-year / 100,000 km manufacturer’s warranty and in addition, a complimentary Road-side Assistance (RSA) package for three (3) years. Customers can avail of an extended warranty program to enjoy additional warranty up to one or two years.
Customers can also choose from over 30 accessories developed for the Made in India Jeep® Compass, available at all authorized sales and service outlets.
