The qualification process for the World Skill Competition required Sachin to compete nationally and emerge as the best among his peers. Following his selection and rigorous training, Sachin demonstrated impeccable technical abilities, both individually and collectively to execute the tasks given at the World Skill Competition. Out of the 8 medals of excellence winners from India, Sachin scored 79.8%, making him the highest scorer from India. He also received the Best of Nation award.

Mahindra Skill Excellence (MSE) was launched with 5 core manufacturing skills viz., Painting, Welding, CNC Machining, Assembly and Engine Diagnostics in FY15. Plant level competitions are organized from which top winners from each skill are selected for specific skill up-gradation training. After completing their training, these plant winners compete amongst themselves at the AFS level competition. The top three winners at AFS level in each of the skills are felicitated during the Annual event. The Mahindra Skill League will help deliver on the promise of Quality Crusade and at the same time develop a proficient automotive skill ecosystem in the country.
