- Crowned Best Startup At RISE Event Held In Hong Kong
Mytaxiindia.com, India’s largest online car rental solution for Local, Outstation and Holiday taxi was awarded the PITCH winner on centre Stage at the prestigious RISE event held on 2nd June’2016 in Hong Kong. The three-day legendary networking event was attended by biggest companies & most exciting startups from across the globe, major global media houses and a gamut of investors. At this year’s event, there were 8,144 attendees from 88 countries.
The competition saw around 1,000 startups compete over the three-day event to win the title. Mytaxiindia went through 3 tough & competitive rounds of pitching to packed out audiences before being crowned the PITCH winner. Their Centre Stage pitch was in front of ZhenFund’s Anna Fang, GGV’s Jenny Lee and Freelancer’s Matt Barrie. They were up against SVET Labs and Tripinsiders, the other PITCH finalists.
The prize included travel and accommodation for the Mytaxiindia team at the Web Summit to be held at Lisbon in November. In addition, Stripe, the world’s leading online payments company awarded 250,000 Hong Kong dollars’ worth of free processing to Mytaxiindia for being the PITCH winner.
Mytaxiindia is India’s outstation taxi provider, solving the $15 billion intercity taxi market through its technology global distribution system. The company is maturing 68% quarter on quarter (QoQ) and the company expects 10x times market growth in the next 5 years. MTI currently operates in 119 cities but is hoping to increase this to 150 by the end of the year, and is also looking beyond India to Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka.
