The Nissan Group of India strengthened its presence in Tamil Nadu with the inauguration of a new dealership, Jubilant Nissan, in Chennai today. The newly-opened showroom is the fifth Nissan dealership in the city. Nissan now has a nationwide network of 218 dealers across 165 cities. The state of the art showroom is spread across 3500 sq. ft. and will display five cars. The 1S facility is located at Mount Road, which is the heart of the Chennai city.
Establishing an extensive, quality-focused retail network is central to Nissan’s long-term growth in India. The company has a commitment to have 300 sales and service centres by the end of March 2017. In the last few months, Nissan has increased its network in the state of Tamil Nadu to 23 sales and service centers. The inauguration of the new Jubilant Nissan showroom in Chennai is a testimony to Nissan’s commitment to the Indian market.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new dealership, Guillaume Sicard, president, Nissan India Operations said, “We are gearing up to launch our new Datsun redi-GO, which will compete in the entry level car segment of the Indian market. With redi-GO, Datsun is pioneering a new segment – ‘Urban Cross’, combining the best of a hatchback and a crossover. Thus, growing our dealership base, building strong business fundamentals and getting closer to our customers are high priorities. As we expand our dealership footprint we are on course to meet our target of establishing 300 dealerships across the country by the end of March 2017. With the 300 dealerships, we will cover upto 90 percent of our current and prospective customers and enable them with easy and immediate access to our committed sales and after sales services.”
In addition to increasing the company’s footprint across the country to provide easy convenience and accessibility for customers, Nissan has focused on improving the customer’s experience when visiting dealers. The brand was ranked third in the recent 2015 J.D. Power Asia Pacific – India Sales Satisfaction Index study.
