Royal Enfield continues 2016 with a strong sales performance and posted sales of sales of 49,156 units in combined domestic wholesale and exports in February 2016 recording a growth of 63 % over same period last year.

Royal Enfield unveiled Himalayan
In February 2016, Royal Enfield introduced Himalayan, a motorcycle purpose-built for adventure and touring in the Himalayas. Bringing together 60 years of Himalayan riding experiences in a completely ground-up design, and powered by a new LS 410 engine, the Royal Enfield Himalayan paves the way for a purer, non-extreme and more accessible form of adventure touring in India. Royal Enfield will open booking and test rides of Himalayan for its customers in India starting mid-March 2016.
Royal Enfield opens Thailand’s first exclusive store in Bangkok
On February 24, the brand officially announced its retail operations in Thailand, along with the price announcement of its complete range of motorcycles, apparel and accessories at the launch of its first exclusive store in Thonglor, Bangkok. Royal Enfield’s first retail store in Thailand has been set up by the prestigious General Auto Supply Co. Ltd.
Thailand is home to one of the most enthusiastic and seasoned riding communities in the world, with thousands of riding clubs and a prevalent culture of leisure riding. With Royal Enfield coming into the market riding enthusiasts will have an option to ride a unique product that is known for its leisure riding experiences. Royal Enfield believes that the brand and its products will resonate very well in Bangkok and other key Thailand cities.
Royal Enfield introduces a new Squadron Blue colour for its Classic 500 range of motorcycles
Royal Enfield, introduced a new colour – Squadron Blue – for its Classic 500 range of motorcycles. The new colour variant has been inspired by the Indian Air Force and is a tribute by Royal Enfield for its long standing history with the soldiers of the skies. The new Squadron Blue Classic 500 variant is now available for booking across all company stores and dealerships in India.
The Classic is one of the most successful products in the Royal Enfield stable and has been the company’s bestselling model. The new Squadron Blue variant is powered by the 500cc Unit Construction Engine and will be cherished for its reliability and simple, yet drop dead gorgeous classic styling while offering the same unique experience of leisure motorcycling that generations of civilians as well as officers of the Indian Air Force enjoy. The motorcycle will be available at an on-road price of Rs 186,688 in New Delhi; Rs 193,372 in Mumbai; Rs 189,350 in Chennai; Rs 198,649 in Bengaluru and Rs 196,700 in Kolkata.
