5000 Tulsi saplings distributed; Pollution Check-up camps at 32 dealerships across India
In an effort to raise awareness amongst its employees on environment conservation, Yamaha Motor India Group Companies today celebrated the World Environment Day at all its offices and plants across India. Several activities will be organized between June 6th-11th to support the cause and promote the importance of preserving our biodiversity. This year, United Nations has outlined the theme – ‘Fight against the Illegal Trade in Wildlife’ with supporting slogan “Go Wild for Life”.
On the occasion, the senior management along with all the employees took the pledge to protect the environment and adopt environment-friendly processes to make this planet a better place for the community and future generation. Tree plantation activity, Display of Banners and Distribution of leaflets were also carried out at all the three India Yamaha plants located at Surajpur, Faridabad and Chennai to create awareness among the employees. Over 5,000 ‘Tulsi’ saplings were also distributed to the employees across offices while the employees also participated in the poster-making and quiz competitions organized on the occasion.
In addition to this, Free Pollution Check-up camps were conducted at India Yamaha Motor’s 32 dealerships on June 4thacross various cities including Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata etc. Tulsi saplings were also distributed to customers who visited the dealerships on the day.
